Pınar Aksu is Brand & Project Director at Cumhuriyet, where she runs partnerships, summits and the paper’s special sections on energy, sustainability, technology and culture. Behind that sit close to two decades across Turkish media, from editing Rolling Stone, Newsweek and Marie Claire early on to leading digital for Vogue, GQ, Esquire and Harper’s Bazaar.

About

Pınar started in magazines in 2008, as a web editor at Ciner Yayın Holding producing and editing original content for the Turkish editions of Rolling Stone, Newsweek, Empire, Marie Claire, Marie Claire Maison, Food and Travel and Joy. A decade at Habertürk followed, where she wrote columns, ran live broadcasts and built the video output of HT Hayat from scripts and storyboards through to the finished cut.

She has edited economy news at EKOTÜRK and worked on documentary productions for TRT on political history and colonialism. At Turkuvaz Media Group, a house of twenty magazines, she was Digital Lead for Esquire, Harper’s Bazaar and House Beautiful, and digital content executive for Vogue and GQ Türkiye.

At Cumhuriyet since 2024, she is completing an MSc in Energy & Sustainable Development at Kadir Has University, the subject that increasingly shapes the projects she takes on.
